Mesa Arched - In Explore 17th Jan 2014 Its been long since my last upload, sometimes one needs to attend to their day job (I am a researcher at UC San Diego). This is the fabulous Mesa Arch at the Canyonlands National Park in Utah. Was there way before day break to secure my place and within minutes there was a crowd of aggressive photographers who won't settle for anything but only the best spot. Words and thoughts were exchanged but as soon as the sun started to come up, all was forgotten and everybody was busy capturing the fabulous vista from under the Arch. This was a while after the sunrise when I was looking to get more of the arch and the buttes on the far side of the valley. In the background are the La Sal Mountain range.
